The city of Maskanah has witnessed a significant transformation in its governance system, after long years of subjugation by a central authority that imposed oppression and marginalization on the residents. Today, with the entry of the Autonomous Administration into the city, residents are beginning to regain their ability to manage their own affairs. Students in North and East Syria expressed their relief after the agreement reached between the Education Authority of the Autonomous Administration and the Ministry of Education of the Damascus authorities regarding the organization of middle and high school exams according to the Damascus curriculum within the Autonomous Administration areas. The students emphasized that this step alleviated their psychological and material burdens and opened the door to hope after a long period of dispersion and difficulty registering in distant areas such as Deir ez-Zor.
