31 mass graves found in Syria since Baathist regime's fall
The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights has documented 31 mass graves containing the remains of 2,744 victims since the fall of the Baathist regime.

The Syrian Observatory for Human Rights announced the documentation of 31 mass graves in various Syrian cities, containing the remains of 2,744 victims, in a shocking indication of the scale of crimes and violations committed against civilians since the fall of the Baathist regime.
The Observatory clarified that these graves, spanning from Damascus to Idlib, are no longer mere burial sites but have become irrefutable evidence of systematic practices of killing and forced disappearance, believed to have been carried out under the direct supervision of the regime’s security and military apparatus.
Distribution of Mass Graves by City:
Deir ez-Zor: 5 mass graves - 106 bodies, including 6 children.
Rif Dimashq (Damascus countryside): 5 mass graves - 176 bodies.
Hama: 4 mass graves - 41 bodies.
Homs: 8 mass graves - 1,250 bodies.
Daraa: 4 mass graves - 137 bodies.
Damascus: 2 mass graves - 1,020 bodies.
Idlib: 2 mass graves - 10 bodies.
Aleppo: 1 mass grave - 4 bodies.
