Kurdish citizens kidnapped on their way to Sheikh Maqsoud, Ashrafieh neighborhoods

Turkish occupation mercenaries kidnapped three Kurdish citizens from the city of Afrin on the international road leading to the town of Deir Hafer. The citizens were heading from Qamishlo to the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo, in a clear violation of Articles (8) and (3) of the Aleppo Agreement signed between the General Council and the Damascus authorities.

Sources reported to ANHA's agency that Turkish occupation mercenaries stationed on the international road near the town of Deir Hafer kidnapped three Kurdish citizens today at approximately 3:00 PM.

The kidnapped citizens were aboard a white H1 passenger bus coming from the city of Qamishlo and heading towards the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh neighborhoods in Aleppo.

The kidnapped individuals are:

- Shukri Abdul Hanan Mustafa (54 years old), from the village of Faqira, in occupied Afrin.

- Akram Muhammad Alou (41 years old), from the village of Qatma, in occupied Afrin.

- Abdul Salam Al Khalil bin Ahmed (35 years old), from the village of Khirbet Sharan, in occupied Afrin.

A number of residents who were with the kidnapped individuals on the same bus indicated that they were taken at gunpoint to an unknown location and remain arbitrarily detained to this day, with their fate unknown.

This action constitutes a violation of Articles (8) and (3) of the Aleppo Agreement signed on April 1st between the General Council of the Sheikh Maqsoud and Ashrafieh Neighborhoods and the Damascus authorities.

Article (8) stipulates that "freedom of movement is guaranteed for the residents of the two neighborhoods and the prosecution of any person who was persecuted prior to the agreement and whose hands were not stained with the blood of Syrians is prohibited."

(3) The Ministry of Interior, in cooperation with the Internal Security Forces, bears the responsibility of protecting the residents of the two neighborhoods and preventing any assault or harassment against them.
