People of NE Syria pay tribute to martyrs on Eve of Eid al-Adha

On the eve of Eid al-Adha, the graves of martyrs in North and East Syria were lit with candles and adorned with flowers, as residents expressed their loyalty and appreciation for the sacrifices made by the region’s sons and daughters in pursuit of freedom and stability for their people.

As evening fell, thousands of people from across the North and East Syria region headed to the cemeteries of the martyrs to honor their memory and express their pride and deep appreciation for their sacrifices.

With Eid al-Adha set to begin tomorrow, June 6, residents visited the graves ahead of the holiday to offer their greetings to the martyrs on this sacred occasion.

These visits reaffirm that the region’s martyrs—those who sacrificed their lives—are the true heroes who gave meaning to safety, security, and peaceful living on their land.

Across all cities in North and East Syria, these commemorative events saw significant participation from locals and comrades of the martyrs. They lit candles and placed flowers on the graves, chanting slogans that honored the martyrs’ sacrifices and transformed the holiday into a moment of loyalty and deep connection to their legacy.
