Bêrtan Guneş Altin, a member of the Turkish Parliament for the Peoples' Democratic Party (HDP), said, "Women know more than anyone the meaning of war, so women will be the ones who make the peace process a success."
A politician and human rights activist emphasized that the people of Sweida seek to build a democratic, pluralistic state that respects human rights and guarantees equal participation for all Syrian communities, and that expanded decentralization is the choice of the people of Sweida.
