International delegation visits Istanbul for leader Ocalan peace campaign
An international delegation comprising around 50 prominent figures from European and Asian countries is heading to Turkey as part of the "I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan" campaign. This initiative supports the process launched following the call by the leader on February 27 of this year for "Peace and Democratic Society."

The delegation, which includes notable personalities from Austria, Germany, Italy, Spain, Catalonia, France, Switzerland, and Japan, consists of academics, unionists, lawyers, parliamentarians, journalists, feminists, writers, scientists, researchers, mayors, and representatives of civil society organizations.
The delegation’s activities are scheduled to begin on July 1, starting with a visit to the Century Law Office to meet with leader Abdullah Ocalan’s lawyers. They will also meet with Tuncer Bakırhan, Co-Chair of the Peoples’ Equality and Democracy Party, to exchange views on the ongoing process and its prospects.
On July 2, the delegation will hold a closed roundtable meeting at the Taksim Hill Hotel in central Istanbul, where all members will discuss and propose initiatives related to the political process and ways to promote peace and democracy in the region. A final statement will be issued following the meeting.
The delegation also plans to submit an official request to visit leader Abdullah Ocalan on Imrali Island as part of the "I Want to Meet Abdullah Ocalan" campaign, which is gaining international momentum and receiving widespread solidarity from various peoples and democratic forces worldwide.
